Project Goals & Challenges

The MySuperGeek website had been on the market for over five years without any major updates. Over time, the platform’s structure, visuals, and messaging no longer met users’ expectations or modern accessibility standards.


When I joined the project, our main business problem was low engagement and poor conversion rates. After auditing the existing product, I identified several key areas for improvement:


  • Outdated visual design, structure, and messaging made it difficult for users to understand the value proposition.

  • Accessibility gaps across multiple pages affect readability and navigation.

  • No style guide or component library, which made the product inconsistent and difficult to maintain.


Our goal was to create a modern, trustworthy, and accessible online experience that drives business growth through higher engagement and conversion rates.

Before redesign: where we started

My role

As a lead UI/UX Designer of this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end redesign of the MySuperGeek website. I was working alongside a product manager, content writer, and front-end developer. The project had to be carried out completely remotely, within a 2-month deadline.


I redesigned the homepage and key website pages, refreshed the order form, and built a UI kit with a component library to support future scalability. In addition, I created promotional materials and marketing emails, ensuring visual and brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Design process

I started the project with a kick-off meeting with the product owner, where I gathered details about our target users, business goals, expectations, and timeline. I analyzed insights from that meeting together with a list of main competitors provided by the product owner. This research helped me define the overall structure and create a moodboard that addressed user needs and reduced potential barriers or concerns through design.


After we agreed on a prototype, I moved into the visual design phase, which went through several iterations as we refined the value proposition and improved the overall user experience. Throughout the process, I collaborated closely with our cross-functional team to ensure every decision was both user-centered and technically feasible. This collaboration helped us maintain a consistent balance between design quality, content clarity, and implementation efficiency.


Once the homepage design was approved, I created a UI kit with all necessary components, refreshed the order form, and designed all remaining website pages. I stayed in close contact with the developers during implementation to ensure a smooth handoff and accurate execution of the final product.

Final Outcomes

The redesign completely transformed the platform’s performance. In the months following the launch, we saw a significant boost in user engagement, a 14% increase in order conversions, and a 39% surge in CTA clicks.


The project was recognized by company leadership as one of the most successful redesigns. With a stronger brand identity and a smoother user experience, MySuperGeek continued to grow its customer base, evolving from an outdated project to a profitable and leading one. The new design system became the foundation for future product updates, making it easier to scale and maintain consistency.

Future Updates

During the following year, we continued to improve the user experience and strengthen brand awareness. I designed a referral program that rewarded users for inviting friends - helping MySuperGeek grow through word-of-mouth. We also conducted several A/B tests on the order form, simplifying steps, streamlining the user flow, and improving mobile usability.


Using the UI kit and style guide, I created promotional materials for campaigns on Facebook and Instagram platforms. These updates demonstrated that thoughtful, user-centered design decisions can drive meaningful business results long after a product’s initial launch.
